FORMED FOR FEEL

For Wedges, feel is everything. Soft but structured. Solid and forgiving. A balance between effort and ease. It isn't something that just happens—it's designed.

Cavity back CBZ Wedges with Z-Alloy. Formed for Forgiveness. Formed for Feel.

To take everything in a great Wedge and make it better, you start from the ground up. Literally.

There wasn't a material on Earth that gave us the improvements we sought for CBZ, so we scoured the planet herself. Dug through layers of literature and mountains of material science for new raw materials and a better formula. And after years of mixing, melting, and refining, we created a new steel that beats our old metals in every measurable parameter we have.

Introducing Z-Alloy for CBZ, our zero-compromise solution for cavity back Wedges with zero design limitations.

25%SOFTER

THAN CBX 4ZIPCORE WEDGES*

* Based on Cleveland Golf R&D measurement of material hardness between CBX 4 ZipCore Wedges using Vickers Hardness Scale.

Z-Alloy Step 1

Our one-of-a-kind Z-Alloy is a brand-new steel with better feel. It's softer, lighter, and, so far, it's one of the few metals made exclusively for use in golf clubs.

Z-Alloy Step 2

Z-Alloy is less dense than 431 steel, and CBZ Wedges are 25% softer* than CBX 4 ZipCore Wedges.

Z-Alloy Step 3

This future-focused approach gives CBZ Wedges superior feel, better forgiveness, and remarkable consistency.

Cavity Back Design

CAVITY BACK DESIGN

Thanks to CBZ's cavity back design and ZipCore Technology, the sweet spot is central—instead of heel-sided, where you're most likely to contact the ball. And since it's packed with MOI, you'll hit more successful shots more often.

GelBack TPU

GELBACK TPU

For anyone still unfamiliar with GelBack TPU's feel benefits: this specially designed TPU insert sits behind the sweet spot to help dampen vibrations and enhance feel on every shot, so even miss-hits are buttery smooth.

HydraZip

HYDRAZIP

HydraZip's face blasts and laser-milled lines maximize spin in wet conditions. Dynamically configured by loft groupings, it balances spin across lofts while enhancing performance in adverse weather.

UltiZip

ULTIZIP

UltiZip's sharper grooves cut through grass and debris at contact, while deeper grooves help make space for grass, sand, dirt, or water to clear the impact zone, giving CBZ Wedges stronger, more consistent spin from the fairway, rough, or bunker.

ZipCore

ZIPCORE

This low-density core technology replaces heavier material in the heel and hosel area with a lightweight material. This proprietary core allows us to shift the Center of Gravity closer to where you strike the ball, while simultaneously adding MOI.

FULL-FACE DESIGN OPTION

A fan favorite versatility option, our Full-Face design returns with CBZ. Full-Face allows golfers who make inconsistent contact to receive more spin on off-center shots. And, for savvier players, its hosel-to-toe grooves and extended, high-toe toe area maximize contact on creative open-face shots for more consistent spin, flight, and stopping power.

CBZ Full-Face vs. CBZ

FULL-FACE GROOVES

We filled every millimeter of that with our UltiZip groove pattern and HydraZip face treatment. All so you can strike it anywhere, in any conditions, and enjoy this incredibly versatile short-game tool.

HIGH-TOE PROFILE

Starring an attractive, optimal high-toe shape that stays true to our Cleveland Golf roots, this one's built for creative open-face shots and to complement your touch around the greens—all while knowing you're covered, wherever you strike it, when the Wedge slides under the ball.

Standard Grooves: open-face shot misses grooves | Full-Face Grooves: open-face shot hits grooves

FIND YOUR SOLE

With CBZ Wedges, we make the sole grind selections for you. By pre-selecting each grind by loft, it's the easiest way to get just the right performance, right where you need it. Both our CBZ and CBZ Full-Face Wedges feature grinds and bounces tailored to match each option's strength in forgiveness and versatility. Whether you are hitting full shots or opening up the face around the green, our sole grinds make sure you get more benefit from the groove length you prefer.

CAVITY BACK FORGIVENESS

V-Shaped Sole: 44°–52° - 12° of Bounce

GAP WEDGE

Our V-Shaped sole with 12° of bounce and a traditional head and groove length prevent digging on full swing shots, even if you strike slightly behind the ball.

S-Shaped Sole: 54°–56° - 14° of Bounce

SAND WEDGE

Our S-Shaped sole with an increased 14° of bounce is ideal for bunker shots or more finesse type shots from the rough or fairway, helping you get in and out of the sand or turf without losing speed.

C-Shaped Sole: 58°–60° - 12° of Bounce

LOB WEDGE

Our C-Shaped sole is perfect for lob shots with an open-face. Includes additional heel and toe side relief to give you options in any greenside situation you may encounter.

CAVITY BACK VERSATILITY

V-Shaped Sole: 50°–52° - 12° of Bounce

GAP WEDGE

Our V-Shaped sole with a traditional head shape prevents digging. 12° of bounce and Full-Face grooves offer more forgiveness on off-center full swings.

S-Shaped Sole: 54°–56° - 12° of Bounce

SAND WEDGE

High-Toe shaping with 12° of bounce and Full-Face grooves for more versatility on open-face shots or shots around the green.

C-Shaped Sole: 58°–60° - 10° of Bounce

LOB WEDGE

A more aggressive C-Shaped grind with high-toe shaping and a slightly lower 10° of bounce. Full-Face grooves help with maximum versatility on open-face shots and shots around the green.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I become a golf professional?

To become a club professional or teaching professional it will cost some money, take some time and require you to apply yourself, just like any other career path

What do you need to start playing golf?

To get started as a beginner golfer, you’ll need golf clubs, balls, and tees, as well as a bag to store the equipment in. You’ll also need golf shoes that won’t damage the course, appropriate golf clothing depending on the weather, a towel for cleaning your clubs, and a divot repair tool.

What should you wear when golfing?

While there isn't a strict dress code at all golf courses, it's generally recommended to wear collared shirts, slacks or shorts, and golf-specific shoes or athletic shoes. Breathable, moisture-wicking clothing is recommended to help keep you cool and comfortable while out on the course. A hat is also wise to wear to help keep UV rays off your skin.

How do you aim a golf ball?

Aiming a golf ball involves aligning yourself and the clubface in relation to your intended target. The proper stance and grip are instrumental in correctly aiming the golf ball. Practice aligning yourself and the clubface during your practice sessions to develop a reliable sense of aim.
